Sublime Frequencies

Lecture Audio
This is a lecture by Mark Gergis of Sublime Frequencies.
Here is the website for Sublime Frequencies

This is a very thought provoking lecture. I am still processing it so there is not much I can say, but I will point out that I would love to see someone who thinks like this suggest international policy for our government. This is also one of the few record labels that I will decidedly support, not because I have to, but because I want to.

David Gordon

Some interesting videos by David Gordon.

The piano needs a better recording but I find the video presentation interesting.

immersive architecture

A shot from Curtis's birthday party in the Santa Barbara channel. We sailed the 32' Heather Jean in sloppy 7 foot seas with 25knots gusting to 35. That all means we truly earned the wine that evening and there were many a good stories.

I am very curious about the projection techniques. The light interface is clearly only triggering a limited range of sounds, but this is a effective.

This is an interesting listen. The more I think about my dissertation and the difference between automated and manual music, the more I consider the glitchy idm type experimental electronica.

Gary Shteyngart

This is hilarious and the bits I have heard from his book are really quite good.

Terry Gross did an interview with him on Fresah Air and it is worth hearing.

National Jukebox

National Jukebox! Historical Recordings from the Library of Congress. Now I just need an Android app of it! Does it feature nationalist music?
